Pat McManus

McManus is known throughout the Greater Cincinnati area as a youth goalkeeper coach with longevity in developing the area's most successful goalkeepers. For 25+ years he has worked with 'keepers to give them the tools to play at their highest potential.

In 1994, while a varsity member of the Finneytown soccer team, McManus' coaches saw potential in his ability to analyze and teach the technique and tactics of goalkeeping. He was invited to train the goalkeepers in Finneytown's girls' program for the following two seasons. This was McManus' introduction to goalkeeper training, and he has been honing the skill ever since.

From 2000 - 2009 while at Colerain, McManus built what was regarded as one of the strongest high school goalkeeping programs in southwest Ohio. Here he consistently produced All-City and All-Conference 'keepers. Notably, Austin Morgan ('09) and Mike Munchel ('04), who is 12th in career shutouts in the OHSAA record books, trailed closely by PEGKA alum and current coach Robert Hasselfeld (Lakota West '11). McManus has also held high school coaching positions with Mason, Kings, Fairfield, Walnut Hills, and McAuley girls' programs as well as Mason, Northwest, Lakota East, Winton Woods, and Finneytown boy's programs. Collegiately, McManus was on staff at Cincinnati State and University of Cincinnati at Clermont College during NJCAA Men's Soccer National Finalist and two USCAA II Women's Soccer National Champions runs, respectively.

In 2006 McManus developed the Precision Elite Goalkeeper philosophy, which is based on an individual approach to development and training. Here, the NSCAA National licensed goalkeeper coach works intently with youth goalkeepers to achieve their short-term and long-term goals. Using this philosophy, McManus has coached players to earn 100+ varsity letters, 38 All-Conference, 12 All-City, and three All-State selections as well as 17 goalkeepers that have gone on to play collegiately.

Robert Hasselfeld

Hasselfeld is an experienced goalkeeper coach that first learned the game through the eyes of an accomplished player.

From 2007 - 2011 Hasselfeld earned All-State, two All-District, two All-Conference selections, and four varsity letters at Lakota West. He holds school records for career and single-season shutouts, consecutive shutouts, as well as career and single-season goals against averages. He ranks 13th in career shutouts across all divisions in the OHSAA record books.

While starting in goal for the Cincinnati United Crew Juniors, Hasselfeld was selected to the ODP Region II and State Teams. During this time, he gained valuable experience while playing international competition in Italy and Austria. Hasselfeld proved his ability to succeed at a high level and was named the MVP of Team USA following his performance at the Under-17 Europa Jugendcup in Austria.

Hasselfeld played collegiately for the University of Cincinnati where a shoulder injury kept him sidelined for two seasons. When given the opportunity to pursue a professional career in Italy, Hasselfeld forewent his remaining eligibilty with UC. After training with the Verona Stars Academy and going on trial with Aqcui Calcio, he received his first professional contract offer from NK Tolmin in Slovenia.

Hasselfeld was introduced to McManus' Precision Elite Goalkeeper philosophy early in his playing career. Throughout the last 10+ years, Hasselfeld has been training other youth goalkeepers under the same method. Additionally, he was on staff at all UC Men's Soccer College ID Camps from 2012 - 2015 and served as Assistant Director from 2014 - 2015. He also spent time as the goalkeeper trainer at Total Futbol Academy in Cincinnati.

Daniels is a goalkeeper that was built by Precision Elite Goalkeeping and is a testament to the training method.

While an assistant coach at Fairfield, McManus converted Daniels from midfielder to goalkeeper. His vision was long term and saw her transform into a Division I commit within two-and-a-half years.

While at Fairfield from 2010 - 2014, Daniels earned two All-Conference selections and four varsity letters while ranking in the top-two in games played, goals allowed, saves, save percentage and shutouts out in the Greater Miami Conference her last two seasons. She currently holds the program record for career shutouts. She also played for Ohio Elite Soccer Academy from 2004 - 2014.

Daniels played collegiately at Cleveland State University, where she finished her career ranking 2nd in career shutouts and 3rd in career saves at CSU. Throughout three seasons as the starting goalkeeper she was named Team MVP, team captain, three-time Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, and three-time Cleveland State Athlete of the Week.

Following graduation, Daniels was an assistant coach at Twinsburg High School in Akron, working primarily with goalkeepers and defenders. In 2018, the 21-1 Twinsburg Tigers reached the Girls Division I State Semifinals while only conceding 10 goals throughout the season. Daniels spent the 2019 season as an assistant coach at Case Western Reserve University (NCAA Div. III) in Cleveland. During this time, she was a staff coach at Cleveland Force Soccer Club and Twinsburg Athletic Club.

Currently, Daniels is a staff coach at Ohio Elite Soccer Academy in Cincinnati.
